Dr. Gregory L. Clarke, by divine appointment, in 1986, became the tenth pastor of New Hope Baptist Church, Birmingham, Alabama. He is a skilled administrator with Bible-centered convictions, a compassionate spirit, as well as, an anointed preacher/teacher. Beyond the church, Dr. Clarke has established for the community a food pantry and Meal-on-Wheels program to serve the needy; a senior citizens recreation center for activity daily with seniors; senior apartments for independent living seniors; a prison ministry for the incarcerated and a weekly television broadcast for the shut-in. 

He has preached on four (4) continents (North America, South America, Europe, and Africa), for National Baptist Convention USA’s 121st Session and the Gospel Music Workshop of America’s 49th Convention. He also prayed the inaugural prayer for Governor Don Siegelman.

Dr. Gregory Clarke has also produced over 6,000 members serviced, 40 Preachers licensed, and 16 Pastors ordained.
